Some Brenham meteorites are pallasitic some are not and display a typical pattern. A meteorite of 740lb was found in 1947 close to the crater.
In October 2005, the main mass of the Brenham meteorite strew field, a single 650 kg meteorite, was located and recovered by Steve Arnold.
