NWA 5803

NWA 5803, a 38.6 g stone purchased by Luc Labenne. Classified by C. Herd and D. Lake, UAb. Consists of mm-scale clasts of pyroxene and plagioclase in a groundmass of the same with accessory chromite and iron sulphide. Low-Ca pyroxene (Fs43Wo2.3) contains ~30 μm lamellae of augite (Fs17Wo43). Plagioclase is An93Or0. The rock is a monomict cumulate eucrite breccia. As a cumulate eucrite, it is a bit different than most eucrites
